Promotes Ken Weinstein

Ken Weinstein was recently promoted to senior vice president at Newtown Savings Bank. He will also serve as the bank’s senior risk officer and oversee the investment area.

Mr Weinstein joined the bank in November 2011, as vice president of special projects. Prior to joining the bank, he held senior-level product management and risk management roles at People’s United Bank, where he worked for more than 20 years.

He has a BA from Dartmouth College and an MBA from Harvard. Mr Weinstein has a long history of community service, and is currently a board member and past chairman of the board of FSW, Inc, a Bridgeport-based family services agency, and is a trustee of Berkeley College.

He is also a member of the Risk Management Association’s Operational Risk Council, and resides in Easton.
