The Importance Of DARE
The Importance Of DARE
By Bradley Reeser
The DARE program has helped me to understand more about drugs, alcohol, and violence. I feel sorry for people who are hooked on things like pot, cigarettes, and alcohol.
Most of the time these things either ruin futures or kill people that take them. I think people who have these addictions should take part in the DARE program. This program can help change them and their lives.
If you have these problems, it isnât good for the others around you because no one likes a drunk or a high person. Second hand smoke is also a health hazard to those around you. Children should never be around people who smoke. I know people who have lost family and friends very dear to them because of smoking, drinking, and drugs. These habits are also very expensive and sometimes illegal. Crimes are sometimes drug or alcohol based.
This program has not only inspired me but my friends and classmates as well. I feel sorry for people who have ruined their future because of drugs, alcohol, smoking, or violence. It is encouraging to know there is help for those people who have addictions and are violent. There are rehabilitation centers, counseling, and medication that can help people. I encourage people who smoke to take Zyban. This medicine helped my aunt and she hasnât smoked in almost a year.
The DARE Program has also helped me choose my career. When I am older, I would like to become a doctor. I would like to help people in need, not just drug addicted people or smokers but all people. I also think this would be very rewarding spiritually. These are only a few examples of what the DARE Program has done for me. Hopefully, I will always be able to say NO to drugs, cigarettes, alcohol, and violence.
