The last Sunday after the Epiphany will be celebrated at the 10:30 am service on Sunday, February 25. The featured anthem by the choir will be “Open Our Eyes, Lord.” Sunday School and Bible classes will meet at 9 am. The church calendar for the week includes a meeting of the Missions and Evangelism committee on Tuesday at 8 pm and the Ash Wednesday service at 7:30 pm on Wednesday followed by Senior Choir rehearsal at 8:30 pm. On Thursday Confirmation class meets at 7 pm and Elders at 8 pm. On Friday the daytime Bible group meets in the church office at 12:30 pm. The Senior Youth will present a Mystery Dinner Theatre on Saturday at 6 pm. Tickets are $15 and may be purchased from the Youth Group members.

The Rev Steven Gordon, senior minister, will lead Sunday morning’s 10 o’clock worship service. The choir, under the direction of Mary Andreotta, will be signing a “Taize” chant with soloists David Evans, Keith Roberts, and Joe Kewley. Philip Crevier will be at the organ. On February 28, there will be an 8 pm Ash Wednesday service with Beverly Thompson leading the choir in “Awaken Me to Pray” and with Mr Crevier at the organ. A one-day retreat is scheduled for Saturday, March 3, at Wisdom House in Litchfield. Lynn Buttner and fellow deacons will lead the program and Carl Lindquist will lead the musical portion of the day. Bible studies continue on Monday at 7:30 pm at the Church House and Wednesdays at 9:30 am in the Sanctuary. The stewardship committee will open its campaign March 4 with a Chuck Wagon Luncheon.
