Scholarships At NHS Career Center

The following scholarship has arrived in the Career Center at Newtown High School. Applications and/or more information are available there. Current scholarships are kept on file in the Center for students to review in school or take home. Please call Mrs McEvoy at 426-1915 if you have any questions.

Newtown Junior Women’s Club Scholarship (in memory of Jane Symes) – for a high school senior who is a special education student or planning a career in the field of special education. This scholarship is based entirely upon merit without regard for financial need. One recipient will receive a $500 scholarship, which will be forwarded to the college of his or her choice for the purchase of books. Applications must be postmarked no later than May 1, 2001.
