State Police Collect Toys  

For Needy Children

In their “Operation Team Spirit,” state police at the Troop A barracks in Southbury are collecting toys for needy children.

The toys are being collected next to a Christmas tree in the barracks’ lobby at 90 Lakeside Road, just off Exit 14 of Interstate 84. Gifts may be dropped off there.

State police are seeking unwrapped new toys from the public for the project. The toys will be collected until December 20. The building is open around the clock. The barracks telephone number is 203-267-2200.

The donated toys will be distributed to the Walnut-Orange-Walsh Neighborhood Revitalization Zone Association for distribution to needy children in Waterbury.
