Pascal Corsi, 76, of Bethel, died June 13 at Harborside Glen Hill Rehabilitation Center, Danbury, with his loving wife and children by his side, after fighting a long battle with pulmonary disease. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marcelle Couvrette Corsi. Mr Corsi was born in Montreal, Canada, March 24, 1930, a son of Domenico and Angelina Calouri Corsi.
In addition to his wife, Mr Corsi is survived by two sons, Dominic Corsi and his wife, Valerie, of Newtown; Roland Corsi and his wife, Robin, of Warren; a daughter, Shari Lynn Genest and her husband, Claude, of Bethel; and four beloved grandchildren, Tami Corsi, Celina Niland, Albert Genest, and Amanda Genest. He also leaves behind two brothers, Peter Corsi, Sr, and his wife, Vicky, of Ontario, Canada; John Corsi, Sr, and his wife, Jo Ann, of Florida; one brother-in-law, Gerald Couvrette of Montreal, Canada; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three sisters, Nellie DiMeglio, Mary Silveri, and Theresa Capobianco.
Mr Corsi worked at the Montreal Harbor before immigrating to the United States. He first lived in Norwalk and worked as a truck driver at L.J. Gardella Trucking, and then spent several years in Ridgefield before retiring to Florida, where he lived with his wife for 15 years before moving back to Connecticut to be with his children.
The family would like to express their gratefulness and recognize the exceptional care provided to Mr Corsi by the loving staff at Harborside Glen Hill Rehabilitation Center and of Regional Hospice of Western Connecticut, Inc.
The funeral will be conducted from the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Avenue, Bethel, Saturday, June 17, at 10:30 am, to a graveside service at Elmwood Cemetery, Bethel, at 11 am. A memorial service will also be held at the Newtown United Methodist Church, 92 Church Hill Road, at noon on Saturday, June 17.
The family will receive friends at the Bethel Funeral Home, Friday, June 16, from 2 to 4 pm and in the evening from 7 to 9 pm.
