Departing Garner Prisonerâs Threat Prompts Arrest
While in the process of being discharged from Garner Correctional Institution, where he had been held as a prisoner on an unspecified criminal offense, a male inmate was arrested for remarks that he made concerning a correction officer.
State police said that inmate Lesly Delus, 25, was being processed for release from the high-security prison on Nunnawauk Road on August 4, when he allegedly threatened to physically harm a correction officer after his release from the prison.
State police responded to Garner to investigate and arrested Delus on a charge of second-degree threatening.
Delus posted $1,000 bail for an August 18 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
