Parks & Recreation Department Hosts Santa For Breakfast

The Annual Breakfast With Santa Newtown Parks and Recreation Department event returned to Newtown Middle School this past Saturday, December 10.

The event included a photos with Santa fundraiser to help raise money for Park and Bark, working to establish an off-leash dog park in town.

“We had probably about 150–200 people,” said Parks and Recreation Assistant Director of Recreation RoseAnn Reggiano.

She also said she thinks every attendee had a chance to sit with Santa and Mrs Claus for photograph.

The morning event, Ms Reggiano said, helped raise $500 for Newtown Park and Bark.

Ms Reggiano said the event was a success, and was Newtown Parks and Recreation’s biggest Annual Breakfast with Santa to date.

She also thanked the businesses and people who donated to the event.

“It wouldn’t have been possible without all of their donations,” Ms Reggiano said.

Businesses that donated to the event included Starbucks, Bagel Delight, Dunkin’ Donuts, Andrea’s Bakery, Donut Inn of Monroe, and Dorazio Sisters Cheesecakes & Goodies.

“It was really a great, great success,” Ms Reggiano said.
