Seeks Nominations

DANBURY — The Women’s Business Council of the Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for its second annual Heart of Women Award. This award honors ordinary women who do extraordinary and selfless acts; the unsung heroes who in their own unique and special ways have inspired others and positively impacted a few, or many, in their communities.

The 2011 Heart of Women Award recipient was Jane Martellino, librarian at Consolidated School in New Fairfield and founder of the Yes! Grace Rocks Foundation. From the nominations received, three women from the region will be selected by the members of the Women’s Business Council to be recognized at an event on October 25.
