Snow’s Farm On ‘Dolly Curtis Interviews’

The next episode of Dolly Curtis Interviews.... will feature Phil Snow of Snow’s Farm of Easton.

Snow’s Farm has been in operation in Easton since 1912 along Sport Hill Road (Route 59) and is well known for its familiar white barn painted with red trim. During the program Phil Snow shows the audience the remains of the large dairy business that his family ran until just recently.

Today the family farm raises Scottish Highland Cattle and other livestock and the farm’s focus is  organic composting with leaves and manure. The natural breakdown of these organic waste products makes for an enriched humus loam soil good for growing vegetables, shrubs, flowers, and a beautiful lawn.

In its 92nd anniversary year, Phil Snow and his son Irving keep busy turning the compost and delivering the rich soil throughout Fairfield County. They feed the animals and keep the farm prospering.

Dolly Curtis Interviews… Phil Snow of Snow’s Farm will air on Charter Communications channel 21 on Mondays, June 28 and July 5, at 3:30 pm, and Wednesdays, June 30 and July 7, at 8 pm.

A copy of the video Dolly Curtis Interviews... Phil Snow of Snow’s Farm will be available in the Easton and C.H. Booth Public libraries shortly after the program is broadcast.

Dolly Curtis, an Easton  resident, is the series producer and host. Victor Cromwell of Norwalk, a retired CBS cameraman and news editor, videotaped and edited the program. Production facilities are provided by Cablevision of Connecticut as part of its public access programming.
