Helping Children Cope With Grief

DANBURY – Regional Hospice will sponsor a children’s grief workshop entitled “Helping Children and Adolescents Cope with Grief” on Saturday, October 16, at the John C. Creasy Center for Health Education Auditorium at Danbury Hospital. Donna L. Schuurman, the director of the Dougy Center, will be the guest speaker.

The Dougy Center for Grieving Children was the first peer support program of its kind in the country. Regional Hospice models its bereavement center for children and families after the acclaimed Dougy Center.
