St Rose Women’s Book Club Welcomes Local Author For October Meeting

Newtown resident and author Harmony Verna was the guest of honor for the October 4 St Rose of Lima Church Women’s Book Club meeting.

During the meeting, which was held in the church’s Holy Innocents Faith Formation Center, Ms Verna discussed her most recent novel, Beneath the Apple Leaves, about a Pittsburgh family that relocates to a rural Pennsylvania farm during World War I.

Following her discussion on October 4, Ms Verna signed copies of her books for members of the St Rose Women’s Book Club.
