Psoriasis Study Seeks Participants
ANNAPOLIS, MD. â Clinical Research Associates, along with participating physicians in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, are conducting a clinical trial of a tropical medication for the treatment of psoriasis.
Patients in 94 cities can volunteer for this clinical trial. Potential study participants must have been diagnosed with, or are experiencing symptoms of, plaque or patch psoriasis including red, irritated, itchy or scaly skin, or raised patches of skin.
The study is seeking males and females ages 12 and older to participate. Qualified participants will receive study-related exams, lab tests, and study medication. Those who are interested in participating should call Community Outreach Network at 800-664-5099 to arrange an interview.
An estimated five million Americans have psoriasis, an autoimmune disease that primarily affects the skin. Between $1.6 billion and $3.2 billion is spent per year to treat psoriasis, which so far has no known cure.
