Auditions For Moss Hart Comedy

RIDGEFIELD — Ridgefield Theater Barn will hold open auditions for Moss Hart’s 1948 comedy Light Up the Sky, a romp about the ups and downs of a Broadway theater company’s opening night in Boston for an “innovative new work.” Auditions will be Monday and Tuesday, June 21 and 22, 7 to 9 pm each night.

The play will be directed by Cathy Linder, who directed Picasso at The Lapin Agile two seasons ago.

There are four female leads for women ages mid 20s to 60s, and five lead roles for men ages 30 to 60s. For detailed descriptions of the play’s roles visit www.TheaterBarn.org.

There will be readings from the script. Those auditioning may also perform a comic monologue.

Performances will be weekends, August 27 to September 24.

The auditions and performances will be at Ridgefield Theater Barn, 37 Halpin Lane.
