Eleanor           Carlson

Eleanor Carlson, 94, of Newtown, formerly of Bridgeport, died May 3 in Ashlar of Newtown. Ms Carlson was born in Hartford, and was a longtime resident of Ashlar of Newtown.

She was a retired sales clerk for the former Howland’s Department Store. She was also a former member of the hand bell choir at Ashlar.

Survivors include one brother, Ernest Carlson of Clearwater, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews, and grandnieces and grandnephews. A sister, Alice Costello of Bridgeport, predeceased her.

Private graveside services will take place at the convenience of the family.
