Henrietta M. Penrod, 71, of St George Place, Sandy Hook, died November 8 at Danbury Hospital. She was the wife of the late Richard E. Penrod.

Mrs Penrod was born in Mount Vernon, N.Y., on January 16, 1935, daughter of Joseph and Julia (DiRenzo) Crocco. She had lived in Virginia, Danbury, and Woodbury.

She is survived by a daughter, Juliet M. LaPak of Newtown; two sisters, Anne Smith of Rexford, N.Y., and Theresa Race of Modena, N.Y.; and two grandchildren, Sean and Richard LaPak of Newtown. Besides her husband she was predeceased by a brother, Salvatore Crocco.

A graveside service was held on November 13 at the New North Cemetery in Woodbury.
