Garbage Museum to Extend Hours During February School Break

STRATFORD — Connecticut Resources Recovery Authority (CRRA) will offer extended hours for its children’s Garbage Museum in February, during the week many schools will be on vacation. The museum will be open that week from Tuesday, February 20 through Friday, February 23, from 10 am to 4 pm each day.

Visitors will have an opportunity to tour the museum, take part in a scavenger hunt, create a recycled craft and check out Trash-o-saurus, a one-ton dinosaur made from salvaged items. They may also watch the CRRA container recycling facilities in action.

Admission and all activities are free of charge.

The museum is at 1410 Honeyspot Road Extension. For more information, call 203-381-9571.
