Postal patrons who stocked up on the Forever Stamp at a cost of 41 cents each, back in April 2007, will once again reap the benefits of the nondenominated stamp when the cost of a First-Class Mail stamp jumps up to 44 cents, Monday, May 11.
The Forever Stamp has been available for nearly two years. When purchased at the present First Class Mail rate, the stamp is usable at any time in the future, superseding any postal hikes.
According to a United States Postal Service press release issued Tuesday, February 10, âCustomers can continue to mail letters at todayâs prices [42 cents] by purchasing the Forever Stamp before May 11. Forever Stamps do not have a denomination and will be honored whenever they are used with no need for additional postage for a one-ounce letter mailing.â
The Forever Stamp can be purchased at postal facilities, stores, and online at shop.usps.com.
