Patrick W. Noone
Lived A Generous Life
Patrick W. Noone, 71, of Sandy Hook, died September 2, at Danbury Hospital surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Mr Noone was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Virginia (Kehoe) Noone. He was born in New York City, September 25, 1937, a son of Ida (Feeney) and John Noone.
Mr Noone was a hard worker from an early age, beginning with Flynnâs Grocery and Radio City Music Hall. He then went on to work many years in the building and grounds field for numerous school districts, retiring as superintendent of buildings and grounds for the Pequannock, N.J., schools.
He loved listening to music, going to the beach, bowling, going to casinos, laughing, being with his family, and especially enjoyed watching his favorite team, the New York Yankees. Mr Noone touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity. He maintained his sense of humor all the way to the end. He was a man of great faith and his faith was an integral reason he was able to put up such a courageous battle.
Mr Noone will forever be remembered by his beloved children, Donna Noone of Sandy Hook, Patti Noone of Sandy Hook with whom he made his home, and Chris Noone and his wife, Jo Ann, of Warwick, N.Y.; his two treasured grandchildren; his beloved brother; three loving sisters; and countless other family and friends who were blessed to know him.
The family wishes to thank Dr Mike, Gabrielle, Toni, and the entire nursing staff on 11 East at Danbury Hospital for the great care and support they provided Mr Noone during his last days with us.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated September 9. Interment will be in Warwick Cemetery, Warwick, N.Y., at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Praxair Cancer Center at Danbury Hospital, 24 Hospital Avenue, Danbury CT 06810.
