Ford William Wolfe, Sr, 68, of Fonda, N.Y., died October 18. Mr Wolfe was born in Newtown, April 4, 1941, to Jean Allison Hay Wolfe and William Emil Wolfe. He grew up in Newtown and graduated from Newtown High School.

He also graduated from the University of Connecticut and made his home for many years in Stepney and Shelton. Mr Wolfe was a self-employed sawmill owner-operator and logger. He hammered circle saws and troubleshot mills up until the time of his passing.

Survivors include his wife, Edna Klein Wolfe; four children; five siblings; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Burial service will be held November 14, at 12:30 pm, at Monroe Cemetery, Route 110, across from Whitney’s Golf Course, with Reverend Kurt J. Hurber officiating. A gathering for friends and family will follow at St Peters Episcopal Church, 175 Old Tannery Road, on the green, in Monroe.
