Newtown Continuing Education Courses Starting Soon

Cooking â French Style: A dive into the fundamentals of cooking by experiencing the foods and flavors of Italy and France. Cooking â French Style is a three-course class offered on Wednesdays starting on March 31 from 6 to 8 pm, and the fee is $129.
The Tuning Your Computers Performance course teaches how to speed up a computer, virus and spyware applications, clean out a hard drive and more. Tuning Your Computers Performance is a one-time course, being offered on Monday, April 5, from 6:30 pm to 9 pm for a $39 fee.
The Backing Up And Restoring Computers course teaches how to back up a computer, organize data, and storage techniques. It is a one-time course on Tuesday, April 6, 6:30 to 9 pm, for a $39 fee.
The Word Part II course goes beyond the basics to teach how to create templates, add graphics, word art, mail merge, and other desktop features. It is a three-course class starting on Monday, April 5, from 6:30 to 9 pm; $89.
The Fun With Family Photos course shows how to organize 3,000 to 5,000 photos in one session. It is a one-time course being offered on Tuesday, April 6, from 7 to 10 pm; $39.
The Beginner Golf course teaches the basics in a small group setting, and covers full swing, chipping, putting, rules and playing the game. It is a six-course class starting on Wednesday, April 7, from 6 to 7:30 pm; $99.
The Intermediate Golf I course will offer help with the game in a small group setting. Training aids and expert advice on how to self-correct a swing will be available. It is a six-course class starting Wednesday, April 7, 7:35 to 9:05 pm; $99.
The Intermediate Golf II course will help players improve their games and lower their scores. It is a six-course class from 6 to 7:30 pm starting Tuesday, April 6; $99.
The Restorative Yoga class is a slow-paced class for people seeking a mellow, restorative, and gentle yoga practice. The course will emphasize releasing tension through mindful stretches and breathing techniques. It is a four-course class from 7:30 to 8:30 pm, starting Wednesday April 7; $59.
The Ballroom Dancing class will teach the basics of the fox trot, waltz, cha-cha and more. The course is offered in two, four-course sessions. The first session starts on April 1 from 7 to 8 pm. The second session starts on May 5 from 7 to 8 pm. The course fee for one session is $99 per couple.
The Hang It Up Properly course will show how to tackle home improvement projects with Bruce Goulart, a remodeling contractor for more than 40 years. It is a one-time course being offered on Monday, April 12, from 7 to 9 pm, for a $39 fee.
Bus trips are also available.
