Occupation: I’m a mortgage consultant. I work in-house at Coldwell-Banker for NE Moves.

Family: My husband, Matt, and I have a son, Jack, who is 6 years old, and our daughter, Grace, is 2 years old. She is adopted from China. We’re very blessed. I have a 16-year-old stepson, Ben, who lives in Florida.

Pets: Our dog is named Denny. We got him from DAWS. He’s a little mutt, like a shrunken Lab, and is about 5 years old. He’s my little snuggle bug.

How long have you lived in Newtown? We have been here for just a little over three years.

What do you like to do in your free time? It’s hard to find free time, but I do volunteer with the ambulance. I’m an EMT, and I love it. I’ve me some great people that way. I downhill snow ski. I love the outdoors, and things like hiking and biking. I do read, too.

Do you have a favorite book? I’ve read several of the books by mystery writer Sue Grafton, like N is for Noose. The main character is a strong, independent woman private investigator. They’re fun to read.

Do you have a favorite travel destination? Any quiet, nice beach in the Caribbean. We haven’t been in way too long. I loved the beach on Grand Cayman, where we went about five years ago.

What is the best thing about Newtown? We love Newtown. The Parks & Recreation programs are awesome, our neighbors are tremendous. The schools and teachers rock. It’s just a really small, big town. There are nice people everywhere here.

If you could spend a day with anyone, whom would you choose? I would love to spend a day in the Roaring Twenties. I don’t know with whom, besides myself, but it would be wild to be there. Or I’d love to be a fly on the wall in the Shriver family.

Do you have a personal philosophy? Do good to others. I have a blessed life, so I try to give back as much as I can.

What makes you happiest? Spending time with my kids. They crack me up, and they amaze me how much they learn every day. They’re silly, and fun, and amazing. They blow me away.
