To the Editor:

Newtown Social Services would like to publicly thank Newtown Savings Bank for their generous donation to our department for the fuel assistance program/food pantry. Because of state budget cuts, the fuel assistance program may be cut significantly this year; therefore, this donation will be very helpful to our clients who are in need.

It is through donations such as these that our department continues to be able to offer assistance to our residents.
