Kennedy Center Ball
TRUMBULL â Two Newtown residents, Susan Filan and Susan Batcha, are among the more than 70 community leaders from Fairfield and New Haven Counties who are serving on The 37th Annual Four Seasons Ball committee. This major fall benefit and gala supports The Kennedy Centerâs residential programs, which provide persons with disabilities an opportunity to live and work independently in the community.
Rolling Hills Country Club in Wilton will provide the setting for this formal, black tie-optional event set for Saturday, November 17, at 7 pm. This event features a social hour with hors dâoeuvres, a full-course dinner, and dancing to the band All Star Entertainment.
This yearâs ball marks the culmination of nearly a year of festivities to commemorate The Centerâs 50th anniversary and its service to the community.
Call The Kennedy Center at 203-365-8522, extension 213 or 216, for more information about the ball. Tickets cost $150 per person.
Now celebrating its 50th anniversary, The Kennedy Center currently serves a total of 3,800 individuals from birth through seniors who have disabilities or special needs. The agency also provides case management services to persons in the Welfare to Work and Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) groups. The Kennedy Center operates 14 group residences, an industries program composed of six businesses, supported, competitive employment and job placement services, a family support and respite service, a travel training service throughout Connecticut, the Boston, Mass., metropolitan area and all of the boroughs of New York City, and a variety of childrenâs programs in many Connecticut communities.
