An 8 pm performance on Saturday, May 3, will mark the ensemble’s second appearance at New Haven’s Woolsey Hall. A second performance on Sunday, May 4, at 4 pm, at First Congregational Church in Danbury will be the last opportunity to hear this renowned chorus until June, when they lend their voices to a special concert at Carnegie Hall.

Director John Robert Liepold has selected two groundbreaking Psalm settings for the concert’s feature pieces: Handel’s Dixit Dominus and Stravinksy’s Symphony of Psalms. Also included is Mendelssohn’s Hear My Prayer.  The Connecticut Choral Society Orchestra will join the group as well as several feature solo artists.

Tickets are $18 in advance and $20 at the door.

For ticket information or to preview the work of Connecticut Choral Society with a CD of Bach’s Mass In B Minor performed live at Woolsey Hall in 2002, call 800-555-5250 or visit www.CTChoralSociety.org.
