Dean Of Quinnipiac University Online
HAMDEN ââ Cynthia M. Gallatin of Newtown has been promoted from executive director to dean of Quinnipiac University Online, a division of the university dedicated to providing quality college-level courses for undergraduate and graduate students.
In making the announcement, Richard Ferguson, vice president and chief information and technology officer at Quinnipiac, said, âCindy has played a critical role in the growing complexity of QU Online both in terms of numbers of students and program offerings. Enrollments for the online summer school program doubled over each of the successive two years from the initial level of approximately 300 to 1,200 this summer.â
QU Online now offers several online undergraduate and graduate courses. Courses that are offered include biology, global security analysis, information systems in organizations, systems analysis and design, object oriented programming, principles of marketing, and managerial thought. New media and online information courses in journalism, education, and business are also offered as well as a course on newsroom management.
QU Online also offers continuing medical education programs for physiciansâ assistants. QU Online has also helped the Equity Compensation Institute in the School of Business at Quinnipiac develop a continuing education program offered in partnership with a professional organization.
Ms Gallatin, who has been an adjunct marketing professor in the School of Business at Quinnipiac since 1994, holds a bachelorâs degree from Fairfield University and her masterâs in business administration from the University of Bridgeport. She also has taught marketing courses at Teikyo Post University and has worked in various sales and marketing positions.
