Volunteers Needed For Book Sale Sorting

The Friends of C.H. Booth Library need volunteers to help with sorting and setting up the 29th Annual Newtown Labor Day Weekend Book Sale.

Volunteers can join any of the work parties scheduled for Monday through Thursday, August 23-26. Work will be ongoing from 10 am to noon and 7 to 9 pm each day. Volunteers can work during any of the hours that fit into their schedule.

The Book Sale will be presented in Bridgeport Hall at Fairfield Hills, off Wasserman Way in Newtown. Volunteers should drop in at Bridgeport Hall at their convenience.

“All help is very much appreciated,” says Joyce Goldin, one of this year’s book sale coordinators.

The book sale will run from Saturday, September 4, through Wednesday, September 8. Hours are 9 am to 5 pm daily. This year’s sale will feature over 160,000 books and records divided into 76 categories.

For additional information contact Mrs Golden at 426-2524 or Mary Maki at 426-3889.
