NEW MILFORD â Christina Eriquez, a graduate of New Milford High and author of Our History in Stone, will present a free lecture on âOld New England Cemeteries and Superstitionsâ on Sunday, October 21.
The 2 pm lecture will be hosted by New Milford Historical Society, and will continue the M. Joseph Lillis Fall Lecture Series.
The lecture will be about the different styles of gravestone art, gravestone symbol meanings, and some superstitions regarding cemeteries and the deceased. A segment at the end of the lecture will also focus on some of New Milfordâs cemeteries.
This lecture will take place in the Boardman Store Gallery at the historical society, 6 Aspetuck Avenue.Â
