Zing Network Teams With Butterfield & Butterfield
SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. -- Zing Network, Inc. has launched a Butterfield &
Butterfield channel showcasing items from the auction house's consignments.
Zing members will be able to preview auction items and auctioneer's forms will
pop up on request.
"Zing's technology can reach millions of people and we wanted our amazing
offerings to be a part of that," said George Noceti, senior vice president, of
the auction house's Internet Auction Services. "Anyone can go to the same old
sites and bid on computer hardware, but Zing presents Butterfield &
Butterfield's items in fast, visually engaging segments."
Zing is an entertainment product that generates TV-like shorts designed to
enliven the sluggish "dead time" known as the "World-Wide-Wait." The Zingâ
Player works as a companion to Netscape and Microsoft Web browsers and AOL to
display media content whenever a user clicks on a Web link and waits for a
page to load. Zing immediately minimizes when the new page appears. Zing
"spots" are displayed as large-screen images with animation and sound, using
Macromedia's Flashâ technology. Members can select from over 25 channels to
customize the player's content.
Zing Network, Inc. is a privately held company headquartered in San Francisco.
