Ann F. Aker

Ann (Farr) Aker, 74, of Ashlar Village, Wallingford, formerly of Newtown and Heritage Village, Southbury, died July 14 at the Mid-State Medical Center, Meriden.

Mrs Aker was born in Jacksonville, Fla., February 22, 1927, daughter of the late Henry MacMurda and Ethel F. Farr. She was a resident of Newtown from 1977 to 1990, when she moved to Heritage Village. For the past year she has lived at Ashlar Village.

Mrs Aker was a member of St James Lutheran Church in Southbury and was a longtime volunteer at FAITH food pantry in Sandy Hook.

Ann will be remembered by her family as a devoted and loving daughter, mother, and grandmother.

Survivors include three sons, Timothy W. Aker of Hopewell, N.J., Dean F. Aker of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Christopher L. Aker of East Haddam; and three grandsons, Brian, Gavin, and Samuel Aker.

A memorial service was held at St James Lutheran Church, 111 Peter Road, Southbury, July 18.

The Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, was in charge of arrangements.
