Marian B. Wilson

Former Secretary For Newtown Board of

Education

Marian B. Wilson, 90, previously of the Sandy Hook section of Newtown, died August 10 at the Connecticut Baptist Home, Meriden. Mrs Wilson was the wife of the late Donald G. Wilson. She was born in Bridgeport on February 19, 1916, a daughter of Roy L. and Mary (Kilbourn) Broderick.

Mrs Wilson was employed by the Newtown Board of Education as secretary to the assistant superintendent until her retirement. She was a longtime member of the Bethel and Connecticut Business and Professional Women (BPW) and held many positions both locally and statewide. Mrs Wilson was a member of the Stepney Baptist Church. She enjoyed word games, dancing, and good jokes.

Mrs Wilson is survived by two sons, Marshall Wilson of Kensington, and Gordon Wilson of Fairfax Station, Va.; two nephews; and one niece.

Funeral services were held August 14 in the Honan Funeral Home, Newtown. Interment will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody, Mass., at the convenience of the family.
