The Tough Got Going

To the Editor

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all Newtowners for their support during the referendum on Tuesday. It was a prime example of the old saying, “When the going gets tough, the tough get going.”

When all the PTAs, all the political and nonpolitical entities and government departments pull together, no challenge is insurmountable.

In all my 54 years of living in Newtown have I never seen voters lined up outside the polling place at 8 pm.

Congratulations to all on a job well done.
