Searching For Shakespeare

Booth Library has kicked off a Shakespeare lecture series that will cover the Bard’s sonnets monthly through March. This month’s play is Julius Caesar, and the next program in the series will be a discussion with Professor Bill O’Connell on Thursday, September 20, at 7 pm. The discussion will be at Mocha Coffee House, 3 Glen Road.

Additional events focusing on Julius Caesar will include a lecture led by Dr Mark Schenker, associate sean at Yale College, on Tuesday, September 25, at 7 pm; and a play discussion led by Newtown residents Joyce Goldin and Peg Jacques on Tuesday, September 27, at 7 pm.

Other programs in the series will include film screenings and interactive storytelling. Copies of each of the works being covered at available at the library, 25 Main Street.
