Experienced Candidate

Will Reunite A Divided Newtown

To the Editor:

While the streets of Newtown were lined with many residents on Monday, I know not everyone was able to attend our town’s spectacular Labor Day Parade. Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to the voters of District 2.

I have lived in Newtown for over 18 years, and I love the town I live in. This is why I have been involved in town so much over the years. I have supported our town’s educational system at all levels, and still feel it is the backbone of our community. I have also served on the Economic Development Commission and know that this is a critical component to our town continuing to prosper as we grow. I have previously served on the Legislative Council for two terms, and welcome the opportunity to do so again. I have also served on the last two Charter Revision Commissions. I think my experience in the many areas of this town will help me to reunite a divided Newtown.

In the coming weeks, I will be walking neighborhoods and making phone calls to speak with many of you. In the mean time, if you would like to speak with me, please feel free to e-mail me at jhshct@aol.com or call at 270-7060.

For more information about me, please visit our website thenewtowndemocrats.com and go do the candidates section for my bio. Look forward to speaking with you soon.

Sincerely,

Joe Hemingway
