Union Local 210

Philip J. Fontaine, 65, husband of Anne (Rooney) Fontaine of Sandy Hook died December 8 at Danbury Hospital. He was born in Norwalk on January 28, 1942, a son of Ore and Helenda (Breault) Fontaine.

Mr Fontaine was a carpenter for Union Local #210 for more than 30 years. He resided in Sandy Hook for 28 years. He enjoyed gardening, swimming, and spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Quinn J. Fontaine of Sandy Hook and Philip D. Fontaine of Silver Spring, Md.; three brothers, Roger Fontaine of Norwalk, Albert Fontaine and his wife, Terry, of Wilton, and Robert Fontaine and his wife, Joanne, of Corinth, Maine; two sisters, Jean Fontaine of York, Penn., and Marie Sacco and her husband, Dominic, of Safety Harbor, Fla.; a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Fontaine of Sandy Hook; and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated December 12 in St Rose of Lima Church, Newtown. Interment was private.
