Newtown Woman’s Club Food Drive

The Newtown Woman’s Club GFWC, Inc, will hold its second annual Federation For Food collection at Super Stop & Shop in Sand Hill Plaza, 228 Main Street South, Saturday, April 19, from 9 am to 3 pm. This food collection is being held to commemorate Federation Day 2008. Shoppers are invited to drop off donations of nonperishable foods during the day. Club members will also accept monetary and gift card donations.

The food drive will benefit both the Social Services Food Pantry and FAITH Food Pantry, both of whom serve residents of Newtown.

The Newtown Woman’s Club, GFWC, Inc, is one of 50 statewide clubs, and one of more than 6,500 clubs in the United States and 20 countries dedicated to community improvement through volunteer service.
