Marjorie G.     Ferencek

Marjorie G. Ferencek, age 76, wife of Kalman Ferencek of Fish Rock Road, Southbury, died September 20 at her home.

A lifelong resident of Southbury, she was born December 31, 1926, a daughter of the late Michael and Grace Klesitz. Mrs Ferencek graduated from Bullet Hill School and attended Southbury High School.

Before raising her family, she was employed by the Hawkins Company of South Britain.

In addition to her husband of 57 years, she is survived by a daughter, Ann Marie Grenier and her husband Roland of Southbury; two sons, Richard Ferencek and his wife Mary of Brattleboro, Vt., and Carl Ferencek and his wife Marilyn of Southbury; two grandchildren, John and Kelly Ferencek of Brattleboro. She is also survived by four sisters, Dolores, Joan, Theresa and Karen; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 1, at 11 am, in St Rose Cemetery, Sandy Hook. There are no calling hours.

Contributions may be made to VNA Healthcare, Inc, Hospice Program, 50 Brookside Drive, Waterbury, CT. Mrs Ferencek’s family wishes to thank the staff of the VNA and Hospice, as well as the volunteers from the American Cancer Society. Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, is in charge of arrangements.
