A Constitutional Crisis
A Constitutional Crisis
To the Editor:
We are in a constitutional crisis and the media is just letting it float by. Congresswoman Louise Slaughter and the Speaker of the House are tearing the Constitution into little pieces because they cannot get the Senate version of the heath care bill passed.
The Constitution is very strict on what and how to make a bill into a law. The way to do it is simple, all members must vote and their receptive wants (nays and or yeas) are written down. If the yeas outnumber the nays on the bill, it is then sent to the President for signature. Upon his signature or left on his desk for a period of time the voted on bill becomes the law of the land. This is the only way a bill is made into law; not the way Ms Pelosi and Ms Slaughter and trying to do.
We are looking at anarchy here â this is illegal and unconstitutional.
Citizens beware; your freedoms are under fire and burning before your eyes. Defend your Constitution, we are being led down a very slippery path by the people we voted for. Is the kind of Hope and Change you wanted?
