Lecture On Stroke Signs, Symptoms At St V’s

BRIDGEPORT — St Vincent’s Medical Center is sponsoring a free talk open to the general public entitled “Time is Brain, Stroke Signs and Symptoms” as a part of its 2010 Fall Listen & Learn Lecture Series. The talk will take place on Thursday, October 21, from 12:30 to 1:30 pm, hosted by The Watermark, at 3030 Park Avenue.

The featured speaker is neurologist Srinath Kadimi, MD, FRCS, who will discuss the modifiable risk factors to help prevent stroke, explain the symptoms of a stroke, and how best to respond in such an emergency.

Dr Kadimi, medical director of St Vincent’s Stoke Center, is board certified and specializes in neurology and neurology-psychiatry. A recognized stroke champion, Dr Kadimi has a private practice in Fairfield and has published numerous studies in the Journal of Neuroimaging, Neurology, Annals of Neurology, and others.

His work has been presented at the annual meetings of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Society of Neuroimaging. Dr. Kadimi is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association.
