Beloved Husband, Father, And Grandfather

Richard “Rit” Lametto, 71, died at his home in Summerfield, Fla., February 5. He was born in Norwalk, in 1940, the son of Irene and Antonio Lametto.

Mr Lametto is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Patricia; four children, including Scott, and his wife Kelley, of Newtown; three sisters; and seven grandchildren.

A longtime resident of Connecticut, he enjoyed a long career as an engineer at Nash Engineering, and was a co-inventor of several patented pump designs.

An avid golfer, the Lamettos retired to Florida in 2002, where he played golf every day. He was a great cook, a voracious reader, and a dedicated sports fan. While he had a great sense of humor, he was often sought out for his advice. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

A celebration of Mr Lametto’s life was scheduled from 5 to 8 pm, Thursday, February 16, at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. A private Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St Rose Lima Church, Newtown.
