The subject of the November 18 Bible Lesson-Sermon is “Mortals and Immortals.” Golden Text – Habakkuk 1:12 (“Art thou not from everlasting, O Lord my God, mine Holy One? We shall not die.”). There will be a Thanksgiving Day service on Thursday, November 22, from 11 am until noon. In addition to the short Thanksgiving Day Bible Lesson-Sermon, there will be thanksgiving to God. The Golden Text for Thanksgiving is Psalms 26:6-7 (“I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O Lord: That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.”) Wednesdays from 7:30 to 8:30 pm there are readings from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, followed by testimonies of healing through prayer. The Scripture lessons will be Micah 6:6–8 and Matthew 10:40–42. There will be a congregational meeting to elect elders and deacons immediately after the worship service. The adult discussion of “What Presbyterians Believe” will begin at 9 am, led by Reverend Ann. Sunday School for elementary grades will start after the Children’s Sermon, and middle and high school students will start their class after the sermon.
