Cheerleaders Raise Money For Dogs
The Newtown High School cheerleaders are helping support animals in need in Newtown with a fundraising effort at home football games this fall. They have baked and will be selling homemade dog treats to raise money to benefit the Spay & Neuter Association of Newtown and Brian J Silverlieb Animal Care And Control Center.
The Cheerleaders will sell dog treats for $5 a bag at Blue and Gold Stadium when the Nighthawks host games on October 19 and November 9 and 21 â all at 7 pm.
There will be a collection bin on hand during the games for those wishing to contribute canned dog or cat food which will be delivered to the Food Pantry, assisting Newtown families in feeding their beloved pets.
