Robert J.   Rotundo
Robert J. Rotundo, 79, of Beechwood Drive, Danbury, husband of Frances (Kovacs) Rotundo, died at Harborside Glen Hill on January 18.
He was born in Danbury on August 17, 1925, son of the late Dominic and Mary (Gillotte) Rotunda.
In addition to his wife Frances, he is survived by his two sisters, Roberta Caraluzzi and her husband Anthony of Newtown, and Joan Peek of New Milford; his brother, Bernard Rotunda and his wife Joan of Bethel; his daughter Norie-Mae Dwyer and his two grandsons, Kevin and Kristopher Dwyer, all of Waterbury; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Eleanor (Hanford) Rotundo, and his son Robert E. Rotundo.
A graduate of Danbury High School, he was a veteran of World War II, having served with the United States Navy. He worked for Risdon for more than 30 years. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Danbury, the VFW, and the American Legion. He also sang with the Danbury Cell Mates.
Funeral services will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Friday, January 21, at 10 am, with the Rev Laura Westby of the First Congregational Church of Danbury officiating.
Burial in Wooster Cemetery will follow.
The family was scheduled to receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 20, from 4 to 7 pm.
