Outdoor Antiques Market Returning June 4
Outdoor Antiques Market Returning June 4
RIDGEFIELD â On Saturday, June 4, from 8 am to 4 pm, Ridgefield Community Center will host the Annual Outdoor Ridgefield Antiques Show. The show will run rain or shine.
The showing of fresh, quality antiques, started by Russell Carrell as a âtailgateâ sale in 1962, has maintained a charm that has eluded many newer shows.
Corinne Burke, the showâs manager, is selecting dealers that provide interesting, yet affordable, antiques for todayâs collectors. A large selection of Americana, architectural items, garden ornaments, old country furniture, quilts, etc., are available to explore and enjoy.
Antique and decorator items for both house and garden will be displayed at this beautiful estate on the rolling lawn under old shade trees. At least 75 dealers are expected to participate.
The show regularly attracts more than 1,200 attendees. Refreshments are offered, and indoor restrooms are available.
Admission is $7 for adults, while children ages 12 and under will be admitted for free. The community center â The Lounsbury House â is at 316 Main Street (Route 35), about one-half mile north of the intersection of Route 35 with Route 102.
Proceeds help maintain the circa 1896 Lounsbury House.
