Construction Technology Course_At NVCC

WATERBURY — Naugatuck Valley Community College will reintroduce Building Systems, a construction technology course, for the fall semester. The community and local building industries have shown interest in an introductory course related to design and construction.

It will be taught by a Connecticut licensed architect and introduces students to the basic principals of how buildings are built. Essential learning is offered for students interested in general construction, architecture, engineering, and facilities management.

It will provide an overview of the major systems of a building, how each is constructed, and how each is influenced by its relationship to other systems. The course will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, from September through early December.

Registration for fall credit courses began August 14. Classes begin September 5. For more information, call Mr Castellani at 203/596-8741 or Mr Kieffer at 203/596-8658.
