Mrs Shea Thanks Voters

To the Editor:

Thank you, voters in Monroe and Newtown, for your resounding vote of confidence in my ability to represent you in Hartford. I am honored to be able to continue as your voice in the Legislature and look forward to tackling the issues most important to the 112th District. The people of 112th District always have and will continue to come first.

My opponent, Joe Ziehl, was a strong candidate whose challenge helped bring out the issues. I appreciate and thank him for that.

As I look forward to January and the new session, among my priorities will be the reconfiguration of the formula bringing education dollars to Monroe and Newtown, the permanent preservation of the 2,200+ acres of open space land currently held by Kelda, the British Water Co., and tax reduction.

Your questions, comments, concerns, and high level of communication have certainly helped me to better represent you. I have enjoyed being in touch with so many of you and urge and encourage you to stay in touch.
