 MERIDEN â The Nursing Career Center of Connecticut, an independent organization designed to promote nursing careers, has launched its Web page to provide a 24-hour information resource for those considering the nursing field as a profession. The site is found on the World Wide Web at www.NursingCareerCenterCT.com.
The center, jointly sponsored by the Connecticut League for Nursing and the Connecticut Nursesâ Association, seeks to attract middle school and high school students into the profession, those who are working in the health care system as certified nursing assistants and licensed practical nurses, and individuals considering a career change.
The Web site provides information about why to consider nursing as a career path, nursing schools, financial aid, as well as background information about the Nursing Career Center of Connecticut. The site also provides advice for guidance counselors and those nurses willing to volunteer their time as career counselors.
