Dorothy Weber, 86, of Brookfield and previously of Walnut Tree Village, Sandy Hook, died December 10, at her home. Mrs Weber was the wife of the late Raymond C. Weber. She was born in Blackpool, England, July 27, 1925, a daughter of Olive (Smith) and William Benton.
Mrs Weber was a war bride. She met her husband while he was serving in England during World War II. She had been a resident of the United States since 1947.
The Webers raised their family in Ossining and Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. Mrs Weber was employed as an administrative assistant by the Ruth Taylor Institute of Westchester County. Following retirement, she lived in Carmel, N.Y., Monroe, Sandy Hook, and for 18 months at the Villages at Brookfield Commons.
Mrs Weber loved European travel and visits back home to England. She loved animals, especially dogs.
She was a wonderful mother and will be sadly missed by her family.
A daughter, Barbara Baldino, and her husband Neil, of Newtown, and two sons, Robert of Eastbourne, England, and Stephen of Salem, Mass.; two grandsons; and two sisters survive Mrs Weber.
A Mass of Christian Burial at St Rose of Lima Church and interment in St Rose Cemetery will be private.
