The Connecticut Soccer League’s Newtown Pride, a premier adult amateur league team, will play a preseason exhibition game against the New England Force, an independent professional team, at Treadwell Park’s back field at 3 pm on Saturday, March 22.

Admission is free, and fans will have a chance to see high-level local players from the Pride take on a Force team which competes against top professional teams internationally, as well as in the United States, including Major League Soccer’s New England Revolution and Red Bull squad. The Force is applying to be part of the North American Soccer League for the 2015 season.

The Connecticut Soccer League is governed by the Connecticut State Soccer Association and is affiliated with the United States Adult Soccer Association and the United States Soccer Federation.
