Thank You To A Good Samaritan
Thank You To A Good Samaritan
To the Editor:
Last weekend, during the middle of the night, our showroom windows and delivery van were vandalized with profanity, and racial and anti-Semitic slurs. Having been in business for almost 11 years in Newtown, we work very hard to keep our clients and employees happy and to be good citizens in our community. So it feels terrible to be a âvictim,â particularly when something like this happens in Newtown.
On the other hand, having a wonderful citizen, whom we had never met before, come to our rescue while we were out of town is truly remarkable. This young man first contacted the police when he saw what had been done, then cleaned off our windows and van before too many people were able to witness this unfortunate act of vandalism.
Therefore, we would like to take this opportunity to thank Chris Meeske, an employee of Sugarbakers in Newtown, for being a truly Good Samaritan, and we would like to applaud his parents for doing such a fantastic job of raising him. They should be very proud!
Sincerely,
Kimberly and Simon Johnson
